Game ratings are designed to provide concise and impartial information about the content of games. Most used standard ESRB regulated by Entertainment Software Rating Board.   • Computer and video games software sale grew 22.9 % in 2008 (valued $11.7 billion)
  • 68 % of American households play
  • Average age of gamer is 35 and he has been playing for 12 years
  • Average age of game purchaser is 39 years
  • 40 % of gamers are women
  • 84 % of games sold in 2008 rated “E”, “T”, or “E10+”
  • 92 % of underage players (bellow 18) report their parents were present at purchase or rental of games
  • 63 % of parentsĀ  believe games are a positive part of their children’s lives

Fanta (Coca-cola company’s brand) released an advergame called Fantarize the world somewhere in 2008. It features characters put in different situations, all facing some prohibiton. Player must solve it trough use of right objects and tols. Genre of the game is adventure.
